Story updated *Update again*

This morning, Andrea found that someone had vandalized her door with a poorly drawn cat.  It was disrespectful to vandalize anything with graffiti, but she couldn’t accept it because it was in her nature to keep tidy.  So, she grabbed her cleaning supplies and went on to clean off the cat when it suddenly moved!  It moved away from her mop, and when she tried to get it once again, it started jumping off the door and wreaking havoc all over her apartment.  She couldn’t stand for messiness on just her door, but to have her whole home being torn through like a tornado will just not do!

After closing the door to ensure that no cat would leave the apartment, Andrea decided to pursue the cat.  Andrea started going after the graffiti cat and got somewhat close to it, but it would escape every time she tried to hit it, like whack-a-mole. It was too quick for her and jolted across the apartment.  A war cry started to fill up the room and Andrea chased the cat with a mop.  The cat reached the opposite end of the apartment and used the wall to change directions and propel itself back towards Andrea and bounced off of her head.  The force of being used as a stepping stone caused Andrea to fall forward and land on her front-side.  Andrea sighed then panted, getting physically tired of all these graffiti cat shenanigans.

She got up, dusted herself off, and turned to look for the graffiti cat.  Just as she turned around, Andrea saw it playing with the fringes of the rug, which gave her an idea.  She realized that it was like a normal cat!  So she grabbed her mop and headed over to the kitchen to open a can of sardines and tossed one of the sardines out in the open outside of the kitchen.  The cat sniffs it from across the apartment and devours it.  In the middle of its feast, Andrea tries to thrust the mop into the cat, but misses.  the cat notices some movement and jumps away, but doesn't see anything when Andrea pulls the mop back in time.  Andrea's hands are trembling and she is sweating from nervousness.  She braces herself to land the mop on the cat and scrub at it every which way, screaming all the while.  Finally, the graffiti cat was gone.  She sighs and sits down, glad that this ordeal is over.

Story Time!

On a bright sunny day, Andrea leaves her apartment to go on a walk as per her routine.  Walks to the park are always refreshing for Andrea because she can enjoy watching the children play, smell the flowers, and get some fresh air.  However, she never made it to the park today, because she saw something that must not be left alone.  Chalk graffiti art of cats on a brick wall on her route to the park!  Unbelievable!  Who could do such a destructive act on someone else’s property?!

Andrea was always a prepared lady who carried many every day-use items, but she did not carry any cleaning supplies in her purse.  She’s going to have to remember to bring wet wipes from now on, but for now, she hurried back to her apartment room to get a scrub brush and a bucket full of soapy water.

She dips the brush into the bucket and tries to scrub away a corner of the graffiti when the cat that she’s about to clean suddenly moves away from her brush while still on the wall, leaving a trail of chalk.  How could this be?!  Andrea was confounded and thought she was just mistaken with her old eyes and tries to wipe a nearby cat, when that one jumps off the wall and onto the sidewalk.  Huh?!

The cat that jumped onto the sidewalk was two-dimensional in this three-dimensional world.  It started running away and causing havoc like knocking over trash cans and vandalizing nearby property, in addition to leaving a messy chalk trail.  Andrea started chasing that cat when she noticed that more cats were jumping from the wall and running in all different directions.  What to do!  So she tried running back to try to catch them all, some of which started wrecking things, but wanted to go get the cat that she was previously chasing, and started to panic!  Andrea started to scrub everything within five feet of her reach to try to minimize the damage, but it wasn’t doing any good.  She tried to chase the cat that she was chasing before, but got too tired to run any longer and had to stop and rest.

Because Andrea was an old lady, she didn’t have the vigor and vitality she had when she was younger.  So, she sat down, leaning against a nearby wall, to try to catch her breath.  Then she started tearing up a little because of her frustrating situation.  She was about to open a baggy of grapes to make herself feel better when, in the corner of her eye, she noticed some movement near her.  Upon closer inspection, it was one of the cats, taking interest in the grapes.  Seeing this as an opportunity, Andrea grabbed her scrub brush and pounced on the cat, scrubbing it as much as she could until the cat was gone.  She nabbed a cat!

Andrea found a strategy to get those cats.

She left her grapes out in plain sight, next to the bucket of soapy water, to attract the rest of the cats.  The cats came one by one cautiously (because of the bucket), but Andrea waited around the corner; she waited until all of the cats were present, so she could finish them all in one blow.

Once all four cats (excluding the fifth cat because she had already done away with that one) were eating or playing with the grapes.  Andrea was always clumsy, so she had to be careful.  The broom handle drew closer to the bucket and slipped!  The cats were startled for a bit, but resumed their play.  Andrea took deep breaths to steady her hands.  She had to swiftly knock over the bucket.  Slowly, she brought the broom handle closer and closer to the bucket until it touched.  Then, she suddenly and quickly pulled back and jerked forward, effectively melting away the chalk cats!

Andrea sighs and plops down, breathing easy and letting the excitement wash over her while she laughs to herself.  This had been the most stressful thing she’d experienced in years.  Then, she gets up, pats the dust off of her, and takes her cleaning supplies back to her place to resume her walk.

Character Development

I don't know if I can put the text into a readmore, so I'll just... leave this like this.....

Backstory:
Andrea Flowers is a 73-years-old widowed lady who lives alone in an apartment in the big city.  She keeps pots of peace lilies, snake plants, aloe veras, and other low-maintenance plants in her cozy apartment because the greenery comforts her, it’s good for the environment, and they don’t die so easily.  She goes through a routine of waking up at 6 AM, brushing her teeth, preparing and consuming tea and breakfast while watching her favorite morning shows, watering her plants, taking a walk out to the park, going grocery shopping, going home, napping, cleaning, watching her favorite afternoon shows, eating dinner, writing, napping, showering, trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle (which is 1/5ths done after several months of trying), and sleeping at 8 PM.  She has more or less been following this routine ever since her retirement at age 65 from her job at the pharmaceutical company.
Andrea likes to be prepared whenever she leaves the house; she likes to carry at least a first-aid kit, a small baggy of grapes, a piece of bread, keys, an old cell phone, a note pad and a pencil, a water bottle, a glasses case, tissues, and a Swiss army knife in her purse.  Due to her frail nature and the weight of her purse, she takes frequent breaks while she’s out and about.  She rarely ever turns around to return home before she finishes her walk because she likes to stick to routine.
Her home life when she was child was peaceful, living with a family of her parents, her brother, and her.  She looked up to her older brother Dyllan (who was older than her by five years) and wanted to be tough and strong like him, so she often imitated him as a child, by acting tough, up till her middle school years.   It didn’t work so well because she was physically weak and had low stamina.  She was a literary girl who still tried to act tough, but was putting up a front emotionally by holding back her tears.  Then in high school, she went through a rebellious phase in her teenage years where she rejected everything she was and tried to be a cool, edgy high school student to try to fit in.  Upon graduating high school and entering college, Andrea realized that it was silly to try to act a certain way to be accepted and spent the next few years finding who she really was.  She found out that it was ok to cry and be weak.  Her love for botany and for the environment started in college and changed her major from general education to horticulture.
She met her soon-to-be-husband Marko Flowers at the pharmaceutical company in her late 20s and didn’t connect with him immediately.  She had just transferred to his department in HR and found his behavior to be cold, so she kept her interactions with him sparse.  However, as she got to know him through shared coffee breaks and conversing with each other, she found that the both of them had many things in common.  Then after dating for a couple years, they got engaged and moved in together.  They lived happily together, more or less, until he died of sickness at age 64 (Andrea was 68 years old at the time).

Toll Booth:
Andrea hadn’t driven in years.  She hadn’t driven in years and knew that she shouldn’t be driving, due to her age, but she figured she would drive to her brother’s house for once instead of having him come to her, breaking routine.  Even though she was usually prepared, she found herself without money at an automated tollbooth.  She then tried to find any change in the car and purse in a hurry.  A car honked at her, so she started to panic and started messing up the organization in the car.  Some more cars started to honk a cacophonous melody, which started making her cry and panic even more.  Then, she looked through her wallet again and found some cash.  The rush and panic from before made her disorganize her purse and wallet, obscuring the money she had securely hid in her wallet.  Andrea calmed down and slipped what she had into the automated machine, raising its bar to let her drive through.
